To find the lace that would become its heart, Nicole and Alessandra embarked on a quest that led them to Caudry, in northern France, at the historic Jean Bracq factory, where the last original 19th-century looms—still used to create the precious Dentelle de Lyon—are preserved.
That choice marked the beginning of the story of a dress destined to be one of a kind.
The real magic, however, takes shape in Italy.
It is here that the creative vision meets the excellence of Italian craftsmanship. In Como, the exquisite lace is painted entirely by hand by Elitex to achieve a delicate pearlescent sheen and a refined three-dimensional effect. Each motif is then cut out and applied by hand, one by one, to the bodice, with the same meticulous craftsmanship that is also evident in the veil and the custom-made shoes.
This work requires time, precision, and extraordinary artisanal skill. It is precisely in these details that we recognize the authenticity of “Made in Italy”: not only in the quality of the materials, but in the hands that transform them into emotion.
Among the dress’s most striking features are several light blue natural stones, which the family has treasured for over twenty years and which are embroidered onto the bodice. This detail goes beyond mere aesthetic value to embody memory, belonging, and continuity. It is the most authentic way to transform a dress into a personal story.
