This awareness gave rise to Ayurvedic Sleep Reset Retreat, the new program at Engel Ayurpura, South Tyrol’s first Ayurvedic boutique hotel, located in Nova Levante, in the heart of the Val d’Ega.
The first edition will take place from June 20 to 27, 2026 and will offer an intensive program of biological sleep reprogramming, designed to identify the root causes of sleep disorders and help restore the body’s natural rhythm.
The retreat brings together two worlds that are only seemingly distant: on the one hand, evidence-based sleep medicine, and on the other, the millennia-old wisdom of Ayurveda, with its personalized approach to rebalancing the body, mind, and vital energy.
The program will be led by Dr. Bianca Maus, who holds a Master of Science in Sleep Medicine from Oxford University. She will guide the objective analysis of sleep, including through the use of the validated medical device WatchPAT ONE. This tool allows for an in-depth assessment of sleep quality and provides a diagnostic foundation for developing a targeted treatment plan.
The scientific component is complemented by the expertise of Dr. Mahajan Parth, who leads the hotel’s medical team. Through Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, he identifies the guest’s individual characteristics and defines a tailored therapeutic plan.
The program includes the Rasayana Rejuvenation protocol, featuring eight targeted therapeutic treatments, morning yoga sessions, deep relaxation practices, and a personalized Ayurvedic diet crafted with select regional ingredients to rebalance the Doshas and support metabolism.
The experience takes place in a setting of rare tranquility: the Engel Ayurpura, which opened in late 2023, features just 17 exclusive suites and was conceived as a contemporary retreat dedicated to holistic regeneration. The property preserves the rustic soul of an early 20th-century barn, reinterpreted with a minimalist and harmonious design. Surrounding it, the silence of the Dolomites, the peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar, the forest, the panoramic spa, the sauna immersed in nature, and the infinity pool with saltwater heated to 34°C complete an environment designed to foster calm, mindfulness, and rebalancing.
