BAGLIO DI PIANETTO RELAUNCHES ITS VISION: STRATEGIC FOCUS ON THE HIGH-ALTITUDE VINEYARDS OF PALERMO AND TRANSFER OF THE BARONI DI NOTO ESTATE TO THE AGRICULTURAL COMPANY HALAESA S.R.L.

In line with the new development and renewal plan desired by the new president Gregoire Desforges Marzotto, Baglio di Pianetto is taking a decisive step in its growth path: the concentration of vineyards in the hills of Palermo and the transfer of the vineyard area of the Baroni di Noto estate to Società Agricola Halaesa S.r.l.

With a decision that marks a strategic turning point for the future of the winery, Baglio di Pianetto is launching a project to exclusively enhance its vineyards located between Santa Cristina Gela and Piana degli Albanesi. Here, at an altitude of over 700 meters, lies the heart of the company founded 26 years ago by Paolo and Florence Marzotto, whose pioneering vision is now being relaunched by Desforges with a contemporary approach focused on excellence, sustainability, and territorial recognition.

“These territories, historically suited to high-quality viticulture, represent the essence of our identity. It is here that our long-term vision takes shape, capable of responding to consumer expectations with authenticity and consistency. The concentration of crops will also allow us to continue decisively on the path towards an increasingly reduced environmental impact, cutting transport-related emissions and optimizing water consumption, which is naturally lower in mountainous areas,”

says Gregoire Desforges Marzotto.

The new strategy is based on vineyards located between 700 and 900 meters above sea level, now at the center of the winery’s stylistic rebirth under the oenological guidance of Graziana Grassini. An excellent habitat for fresh, elegant wines consistent with the natural vocation of the territory.

At the same time, Società Agricola Halaesa S.r.l.—an innovative benefit corporation and a benchmark in Italy for sustainable avocado production—is acquiring Tenuta Baroni with the aim of expanding and consolidating its highly specialized supply chain, which is firmly rooted in Sicily. The transaction strengthens the scalability, sustainability, and integration of Halaesa’s agricultural model, which envisages expansion to 500 hectares by 2026, supported by a new capital increase.

As part of the agreement, Società Agricola Halaesa S.r.l. was assisted by LCA Studio Legale, with a team composed of lawyers Nicola Lucifero and Angelica Bonino.

Baglio di Pianetto S.r.l. – Società Agricola was assisted by Pedersoli Gattai, with a team led by attorneys Antonio Pedersoli, Gregorio Lamberti, and Alessandro Pirera.

Where the wind is cleaner and the light is brighter, Baglio di Pianetto rediscovers the rhythm of its vocation.c
