Giulia Turato at the Ugo Guidi Museum with “Glimpses of Life”
From May 31 to June 11, 2026, at Forte dei Marmi’s MUG and Logos Hotel, the museum’s 213th exhibition dedicated to an artist capable of interweaving painting, music and writing
The Ugo Guidi Museum in Forte dei Marmi presents its 213th exhibition, dedicated to Giulia Turato and titled “Scorci di Vita,” curated by Vittorio Guidi.
The opening is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Ugo Guidi Museum, with the artist in attendance. The exhibition will be open untilJune 11, 2026 at the Ugo Guidi Museum and Logos Hotel venues.
Giulia Turato, born in Padua, graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature and taught literature and history in high schools. Today she pursues an articulated artistic path, which sees her as a painter, writer and pianist. Three different but deeply communicating languages, which in her painting merge into an intense personal research, where color, matter, rhythm and emotional suggestion become tools of storytelling.
With oil and palette knife, the artist builds dense, vibrant surfaces, traversed by chromatic accents, contrasts of light and shadow, suspended atmospheres. His works seem to arise from a continuous dialogue between reality and imagination, figure and abstraction, inner memory and creative impulse.
In “Glimpses of Life,” each canvas becomes a fragment of a possible world: imaginary places, suspended encounters, emotional landscapes into which the viewer’s gaze is invited to slowly enter. Turato’s painting does not merely represent, but suggests, evokes, holds back the moment before it vanishes. In this sense, his art seems to guard an almost salvific tension: to subtract the moment from time and return it to a larger, poetic, eternal dimension.
Giulia Turato’s path is in a particularly vivid phase of stylistic exploration. Her research crosses different techniques, registers and formal solutions, while maintaining a strong expressive coherence. What her works have in common is the ability to convey energy, introspection and curiosity, through a painting that combines chromatic sensitivity, material strength and emotional depth.
Each painting appears as a fragment of his worldview: a painting that comes from listening, culture, music and life, and finds in the surface of the canvas the place where all these dimensions meet.
The exhibition is part of the exhibition activity of the Ugo Guidi Museum – MUG, a House Museum included in the Places of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and a reference point for the enhancement of contemporary art, artistic memory and cultural dialogue. The Museum also adheres to the literary, artistic, philosophical and cultural movement ofEmpatism.
