HimeraMovie APS is pleased to announce the great success of the activity carried out at the “Salvatore Quasimodo” complex of the I.C. Marconi Comprehensive Institute in Licata, as part of the program to promote identity and culture dedicated, among other things, to the figure of the poet Salvatore Quasimodo.
The meeting was attended by the director and President of HimeraMovie APS, Vincenzo La Cognata, who presented the short film À Milanisa, made together with Mirko Grasso, to the students.
The work, a story of emigration and social redemption told through cuisine and poetry, pays tribute to the poet and Nobel Prize winner Salvatore Quasimodo and offered the students a valuable opportunity to learn about poetry, cinematic language, and the value of cultural memory.
The event was a moment of great emotional intensity: the director’s return to the school he attended from 1980 to 1983 transformed the presentation into a veritable journey through time, capable of uniting past and present through the power of images and memories.

HimeraMovie APS also expresses its gratitude to the President of the “Salvatore Quasimodo” Literary Park in Roccalumera, Carlo Mastroeni, for his participation and constant commitment to promoting Quasimodo’s heritage.
To Father Pino Agozzino, who enriched the dialogue; to the artistic director of musical activities, Armando Sorce, who explained the cultural and inclusive value of the HimeraMovie Project courses; to the head of the Quasimodo Silvestri Fiorella complex and all the teachers who gave us a warm welcome.
Special thanks go to the tireless volunteers of HimeraMovie APS, whose dedication makes every project possible, and to the students of the Quasimodo school complex, who followed the meeting with enthusiasm, curiosity, and great maturity, also participating with interest in some of the training courses offered by our association.
The initiative once again confirms the importance of collaboration between schools, cultural associations, and the local community, in the belief that culture is a bridge capable of uniting generations and nurturing dreams, talents, and awareness.
