The Capri expands its offerings for 2026: wellness, hospitality and new life on the rooftop

Just a few steps from the famous Piazzetta, in the beating heart of Capri, The Capri Hotel announces a significant expansion of its offerings for the 2026 season. Housed in a 19th-century Venetian neo-Gothic palace at Via Roma 71, the luxury boutique hotel introduces a new wellness area, a collaboration with Irene Forte Skincare, and the opening ofOsteria delle Sirene, a new gastronomic space on the rooftop of the property.

The 20-room hotel is the brainchild of Graziella Buontempo and Arnaud Lacombe, who envisioned The Capri as a declaration of love to the island and its Mediterranean art of living. The restoration has given new life to one of Capri’s historic buildings, preserving its identity and reinterpreting it with a contemporary, intimate and sophisticated taste.

A private villa converted into a hotel in 1901, today The Capri welcomes guests to rooms with a bohemian character, where pastel pinks recall the bougainvillea-covered facades and volcanic reds evoke the slopes of Vesuvius visible from the terraces. Rooms and suites are decorated with antique furniture, natural materials and handcrafted pieces, including sisal, bamboo, wicker, linen and hemp, in an atmosphere designed to make guests feel inside a Capri home, rather than just a hotel.

Making the project even more personal is the presence of works of art from Graziella Buontempo’s private collection, including family photographs and tributes to her aunt of the same name, a leading figure in local culture and co-founder of the Malaparte Prize with Alberto Moravia.

A new wellness sanctuary above the sea

The big news of the season is the birth of Il Capri Athletic Club, a 300-square-meter wellness center created from the transformation of the hotel’s former restaurant and terrace. The space is developed between indoor and outdoor areas, all overlooking the Gulf of Naples.

The program is designed to offer a rejuvenating yet affordable experience, with two or three group classes per day included in the stay.Activities include: mobility sessions, sunset core training, strength exercises, slow stretching, and relaxation practices suitable for different levels.

Dedicated retreats in yoga, Pilates, breathing and holistic disciplines, led by selected coaches, will also be available during the season, as well as individual sessions for those who want a more personalized path.

The collaboration with Irene Forte

Rounding out the new wellness offering comes a collaboration with Irene Forte, London-based entrepreneur and founder of the skincare line that bears her name. A room in the hotel has been transformed into a treatment room, with a design that is perfectly integrated into the spirit of the island: sisal walls, arches, handcrafted textiles, geometric carpets and tropical vegetation create an intimate and relaxing environment.

Guests will be able to choose from facial and body rituals signed Irene Forte, based on botanical and scientifically validated formulations. Among the offerings are anti-aging treatments with volcanic extracts and smoothing and nourishing Mediterranean massages.

Treatments will be available to both hotel guests and outside visitors by appointment.

Osteria delle Sirene: the new rooftop hangout

On the hotel’s rooftop, above the Piazzetta and surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, theOsteria delle Sirene opens, destined to become one of the hotel’s most vibrant spaces.

The gastronomic project was created in collaboration with Giotto Calendoli, a Neapolitan artist and cultural figure, who also signs the restaurant’s aesthetic imprint. Blue and white checked tablecloths, attentive service, original tableware and a cuisine linked to the Campania tradition make up an authentic and convivial tale.

The menu follows seasonality and emphasizes what comes from the sea and the island’s terraces: fresh fish, pizzas, pastas and traditional dishes, in dialogue with the landscape and the myth of the mermaids that inhabit Capri’s imagination.

Food, cocktails and nightlife

The hotel’s food & beverage offerings remain among the most dynamic on the island. The Lobby Bar offers classic snacks reinterpreted with local ingredients, natural wines and fresh cocktails, from aperitif time until late in the evening.

In the basement, however, Rumore introduces a completely different atmosphere: an underground club designed for the summer season, with music programming curated by DJ Pascal Moscheni, already active in the world of fashion and sound design. The venue will host local DJs and international names from the electronic and house scene.

The panoramic swimming pool

Reserved for hotel guests, the rooftop pool remains one of Il Capri’s most iconic spaces. Scarlet umbrellas, views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and service food & cocktails throughout the day compose an image of contemporary dolce vita, suspended between elegance, relaxation and Mediterranean lightness.
