Italy Calls the World: Italian Art Meets the World in the Heart of New York
From June 21–24, 2026, the Fridman Gallery in New York will host “Italy Calls the World”, an international exhibition curated by Francesca Callipari, conceived as a creative bridge between cultures, languages, and artistic identities from 25 countries.
In the heart of the Big Apple, at 169 Bowery, just steps from the New Museum, the gallery will become a meeting place for visual arts and poetry, featuring artists in physical exhibitions, digital works, and selected poetic voices.
The event stems from a simple yet powerful idea: art as a universal language, capable of transcending geographical, cultural, and personal boundaries. “Italy Calls the World” is not merely a group exhibition, but a declaration of openness: Italy calls out to the world through beauty, creativity, and sharing.

Adding even greater significance to the project will be FEED YOUR SOUL, a section dedicated to poetry, where the selected authors’ works will be distributed free of charge to visitors.
A symbolic yet deeply human gesture: offering words, emotions, and thoughts as nourishment for the soul.
The exhibition brings together artists from diverse backgrounds and sensibilities, creating an international mosaic in which painting, digital art, and poetry engage in dialogue with the city of New York—a city that has always been a crossroads of cultures and an open laboratory of contemporary life.
The initiative takes place under the patronage of Comites New York and with the support of numerous sponsors, confirming the value of a project that takes art beyond borders, transforming it into an opportunity for encounter, connection, and international visibility.
“Italy Calls the World” thus presents itself as a collective event, capable of showcasing the power of art when it becomes a bridge: between Italy and the world, between image and word, between different identities united by a shared need for expression.
As the curator points out, this is “a mapping of contemporary creativity that demonstrates how beauty remains the only force capable of fostering a sense of global community.”
