In the lively Sant’Ambrogio district, at Via Carducci 38, Momenteeria opens: the first contemporary tea room dedicated to rituals of happiness. A unique place in Milan, designed for those who want to slow down, breathe, and rediscover the pleasure of slow time.
The name comes from the combination of ‘momento’ (moment) and ‘teeria’ (tea room), and encapsulates the philosophy behind the project: an invitation to experience every break as an experience of beauty, care, and awareness.
Tea as a sensory experience and mindfulness
At the heart of the Momenteeria concept is the desire to transform tea tasting into a ritual of well-being.
The menu offers over 60 varieties of single-origin teas and exclusive blends, selected by Prime Tea Sommelier Riccardo Colosi and signed by tea blender Albino Ferri, heir to a century-old tradition.
From the prized leaves of Dian Hong and Bai Mu Dan top grade to the extremely rare Huo Shan Huang Ya, each infusion becomes a sensory journey guided by Tea Tender Monica Angeli, who accompanies guests in their choice and preparation.
The tea ritual—served in white stoneware saucers and glass teapots—is marked by the infusion time and words that evoke calm and serenity.
Each blend has an evocative name: “Happiness in small things,” “Autumn Equinox in Milan,” “Secret lucky charm,” little stories that invite you to slow down and rediscover balance.
Mindful eating: taste and awareness at the table
At Momenteeria, even food becomes part of the ritual.
The menu, created by nutritionist Nicole Labaguer and psychotherapist Antonella Calabrese, is designed to promote a mindful approach to nutrition.
There are two options available:
- Light Lunch, with light, seasonal dishes such as pumpkin soup or salmon with vegetables;
- Comfort Food, which reinterprets classics such as cacio e pepe or lasagna with meat sauce in a mindful way.
Each course can be paired with a dedicated tea, transforming lunch into a moment of balance between taste, slowness, and well-being.
Signature desserts and everyday beauty
The pastries are created by architect and cake designer Rita Strati, known as the “shortcrust pastry sculptor.”
Her creations—from the Torta Momenteeria with matcha and white chocolate to the Crostata Foglie di Ginkgo in Milan—are small masterpieces designed to accompany the most refined teas.
There is no shortage of vegan desserts, nature-inspired cookies, and colorful madeleines that celebrate the lightness of everyday life.
Design, well-being, and sustainability
The interior design, by Paola Podenzani, combines warmth and refinement.
The 150 square meters feature cozy spaces decorated in shades of lichen green and terracotta, soft lighting, and natural materials. The ground floor houses the tea boutique and concept store, while the upper floor features an event room and dessert room.
Momenteeria‘s zero waste philosophy translates into concrete actions: loose teas, refillable packaging, water served in glass bottles, and jar cooking with returnable containers.
A model of female, sustainable, and conscious entrepreneurship.
A new ritual of everyday happiness
Founded by Alessandra Gorlero and Erica Della Bianca, Momenteeria is much more than a tea room: it is an urban retreat where you can rediscover the beauty of slowness and self-care.
“We want to spread a new concept of accessible, everyday happiness,” explains Della Bianca. “Momentoeria is a small gesture of beauty to be experienced every day, an invitation to slow down and rediscover yourself.”
