Campomarzio70 celebrates contemporary art with Margherita Lipinska: the triptych “Miti in blu,” blending myth, material, and vision
In the heart of Rome, within the elegant spaces of Campomarzio70 at Via Vittoria 52, a rare and powerful encounter between contemporary art and artisanal tradition takes shape. On the occasion of National Made in Italy Day – symbolically linked to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci – the Essential Gallery transforms into an exceptional stage to showcase the creative universe of Margherita Lipinska.
The star of the event is the triptych “Miti in blu”, a limited and numbered series of Deruta ceramic plates that transcends the dimension of the object to become a visual narrative, a bridge between eras and languages. Venus, Ares, and Etruscan Horses are not mere subjects: they become archetypes, evocations suspended between memory and imagination, rendered through a palette dominated by an intense and magnetic blue.
Lipinska, a Polish-born artist who has made Rome her home, brings the full force of her painterly exploration to this work: evocative figures, fluid surfaces, and symbolic tensions. But something more is happening here. The painterly gesture is transformed, imprinted onto the ceramic material thanks to a collaboration with the master artisans of Deruta, guardians of a thousand-year-old tradition.
The result is a refined dialogue between ancient craftsmanship and contemporary technology, where the digital image becomes the vehicle for a deeply human aesthetic.
“This triptych represents a bridge between my pictorial world and Italian artisanal excellence,” says the artist. “Blue is depth, it is myth, it is memory. Deruta ceramics, on the other hand, are living history, they are knowledge passed down through the generations.”
A project that fully embodies the spirit of Made in Italy: not merely as a label, but as a cultural system capable of blending tradition, innovation, and identity.
Campomarzio70’s vision also aligns with this approach, as Founder & CEO Valentino Di Liello emphasizes: “We are thrilled to renew our collaboration with Margherita Lipinska, who was already a key figure in 2022 with the exhibition Campus Martius. Her ability to unite different languages into a contemporary synthesis perfectly reflects our journey: creating connections between art, design, and sensory culture.”
More than an exhibition, then: an experience. A narrative that becomes an object, where beauty steps out of museums to enter everyday life, transforming a plate into a work of art, and a craftsmanship gesture into a timeless creative act.
Margherita Lipinska: a journey through painting, myth, and identity
Born in Poland in 1964 and trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Margherita Lipinska arrived in Rome in the early 1990s thanks to a scholarship from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here she delved not only into painting but also into the history of costume, building a layered and personal artistic language.
Rome became her home and her creative workshop. Over the years, her career has unfolded through major exhibitions: from the Chamber of Deputies at Palazzo Valdina with Campus Martius (2022), to the National Roman Museum at the Baths of Diocletian with In Tempore (2023), and on to the National Etruscan Museum at Villa Giulia. Since 2019, she has also been a constant presence at Palazzo Ferretti in Cortona.
