NOT WITH MY FACE. #IODENUNCIO
Against digital violence and pornography with artificial intelligence
They took women’s faces. They put them on bodies that are not theirs.
They turned technology into a weapon, the internet into a trap, images into a sentence.
Without consent. Without shame. Without humanity.
Every day, thousands of fake images and videos created with AI are spread online.
Behind every file is a real person, a real face, a life destroyed by those who think that anything goes.
But this is violence.
It is a crime.
It is an attack on human dignity.
In Italy, a new law punishes those who disseminate or share material falsified with artificial intelligence systems with imprisonment for one to five years.
But more is needed: awareness, courage, responsibility.
Because every click that shares these images fuels violence.
Every silence protects it.
Every day, the number of women who are victims of a new form of violence grows: the use of artificial intelligence to create and disseminate fake pornographic images or videos, constructed from their real faces. It is a profound violation of the person, a digital rape that erases privacy, dignity, and the very right to exist without being exposed to the judgment and pleasure of others.
Behind these acts are not only algorithms, but individuals hiding behind screens, capable of destroying lives with a click. The internet thus becomes a field of invisible violence, where women become objects, manipulated bodies, images to be exchanged.
The response can no longer be silence. We need to take a collective, political, and cultural stand.
Tomorrow, November 5 at 11:30 a.m., in Piazza Capranica in Rome, the association Giornaliste Italiane will take to the streets to say enough is enough. To give a voice to those who have been violated twice: in body and image.
To remember that no woman should be forced to defend herself from a face that is her own.
Stand up. Speak out. Report it.
Not with my face. Not with your silence.
