The brand’s first Jumping Hours watch marks a new technical and aesthetic evolution
OOO – Out of Order® Watches, an Italian brand known for its unconventional approach to watchmaking, presents VENTI, the maison’s first model equipped with a Jumping Hours complication. Always appreciated by collectors for its sophisticated mechanism and distinctive aesthetics, this function represents the beating heart of a watch that marks a decisive step forward in the brand’s technical and stylistic evolution.
With VENTI, Out of Order® Watches continues its path of innovation, enriching its design philosophy and continuing to surprise enthusiasts who have followed the brand since its foundation in 2013.
A new aesthetic language
The second model from the new creative division FORMA, VENTI introduces a new design for the brand, offering a quick and intuitive reading of time. The jumping hours appear in a dedicated window at the stroke of the sixtieth minute, while the minutes and seconds are indicated by a semicircular sector.
The minimalist black lacquered dial plays with openings and stylistic references to the 1920s, creating a harmonious synthesis between tradition and modernity, in a balance that defines the retro-futuristic character of the model.
Main technical features
VENTI features a rectangular 316L stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 ATM, characterized by clean, geometric lines inspired by Art Deco. The double vertical groove and slightly rounded corners enhance its architectural elegance, while the essential yet characterful design enhances the aesthetic identity of the timepiece.
Inside beats the Seagull ST1721 automatic movement, equipped with a Jumping Hours complication, 20 jewels, and a 38-hour power reserve, guaranteeing precision and reliability.
The black lacquered dial, protected by sapphire crystal, is illuminated by Super-LumiNova® BGW9 for the hours and C3 for the minutes and seconds. The case and bezel form a refined block that emphasizes the design dedicated to reading the jumping hours. A discreet reference to the minimalist FORMA logo, with the triple “O”, appears tone-on-tone on the dial and in contrast on the crown, underlining its belonging to the new line.
The model is completed by a Made in Italy vegetable-tanned cowhide leather strap with a folding clasp.
Looking to the future
With the launch of FORMA and, consequently, VENTI, Out of Order® Watches is embarking on a new strategic direction. Starting with VENTI, as well as SETTANTA—the first model from the creative division—the brand plans further developments: while maintaining the same case structure, different movements, new sizes, and materials may be introduced in the future.
This is a clear sign of the brand’s desire to expand the FORMA line and continue to experiment with ever-new technical and aesthetic languages.
“Our first Jumping Hours represents a natural evolution of Out of Order®’s creative language. It is a project that has pushed us to explore new technical solutions: we wanted to amaze and we believe we have succeeded,” says Riccardo Torrisi, co-founder of Out of Order® Watches.
“VENTI marks an innovative chapter in the history of Out of Order®. Investing in a complication such as the Saltarello means betting on the future of the brand, combining craftsmanship, distinctive design, and cutting-edge technical solutions,” adds Claudio Della Mora, co-founder of the brand.
The Saltarello: a complication with over a century of history
The Jumping Hours complication has its origins in the early 20th century, when it was introduced as a modern “digital” reinterpretation of the analog watch. Its operating principle replaces the traditional hour hand with a numbered disc that advances with a sharp click every sixty minutes, offering a simple and immediate reading of the time.
Innovative for its time, this solution has established itself over time as one of the most recognizable symbols of technical and stylistic avant-garde watchmaking.
