PASTA BECOMES JEWELRY: “PASTÀI,” THE FIRST COLLECTION BY ÀPINI STUDIO, IS BORN

Inspired by the childhood memories of Giulia Facchini, this collection transforms everyday Italian life into wearable jewelry. Spaghetti, risoni, Riso&Latte, and tubetti become precious creations that blend family memories, craftsmanship, and contemporary Made in Italy.

There are objects that belong to our lives even before they belong to our wardrobes. Simple, familiar, everyday shapes capable of holding memories, gestures, and affection.

It is from this intimate and deeply Italian universe that “Pastài” is born, the first collection by Àpini Studio, the new jewelry brand founded by designer Giulia Facchini.

Crafted in 925 silver and 9-karat yellow gold, featuring natural gemstones and natural diamonds, the jewelry in this collection embodies a contemporary vision of Made in Italy, rooted in the quality of materials, attention to detail, and a refined ability to see the things that are part of our lives with fresh eyes.

PASTÀI, WHEN MEMORY BECOMES JEWELRY

In “Pastài,” every shape arises from a simple, familiar memory—from those details of everyday Italian life that are part of everyone’s collective memory and that Giulia Facchini chooses to observe with a fresh perspective. Pasta, a symbol of home, affection, and a profound sense of identity, is taken out of its usual context and transformed into a precious symbol, a small story to wear.

The collection unfolds across four families of jewelry, each linked to a different inspiration: the delicacy of a grain of rice, the graphic rhythm of risoni, the sinuous movement of spaghetti, and the textural strength of tubetti. Simple, recognizable shapes thus become necklaces, rings, bracelets, and earrings in 925 sterling silver and 9-karat yellow gold, embellished with pearls, natural gemstones, and natural diamonds.

Riso&Latte is the most delicate and luminous line in the collection. Inspired by the petite shape of a grain of rice, it comes to life through sequences of light, flowing pearls that gracefully follow the body’s movements. Necklaces and earrings exude an understated, almost whispered elegance, designed to be worn every day—either alone or layered.

Risoni interprets pasta in its most graphic and rhythmic form. The elements follow one another like small, precious marks, forming necklaces, bracelets, and earrings with a clean, contemporary character. It is a discreet yet recognizable line that plays on repetition, lightness, and the balance of forms.

Spaghetti translates the irregular, soft movement of long pasta into gold. Sinuous strands drape naturally over the body, giving shape to simple yet distinctive rings and earrings. Variations featuring white and black diamonds, rubies, and green tourmalines pay a refined tribute to Italy’s most iconic flavors, from Cacio e Pepe to Pomodoro e Basilico.

Tubetti Brillante is the most sculptural and textural line. Inspired by short, ridged pasta, it echoes its grooves, transforming them into precious surfaces through which the light of diamonds shines. Rings, necklaces, earrings, and ear cuffs express the collection’s boldest and most contemporary side, while maintaining that playful and affectionate connection to the domestic imagery from which it all began.

With “Pastài,” Àpini Studio does more than simply transform pasta into jewelry: it constructs a small emotional vocabulary of Made in Italy, not only portraying pasta as an Italian icon but transforming it into an emotional and aesthetic code.

Spaghetti become sinuous golden threads; risoni create elegant patterns of repetition; a single grain of rice inspires delicate necklaces and earrings; while tubetti transform into sculptural surfaces illuminated by diamonds.

The result is a collection that combines elegance and irony, memory and lightness, craftsmanship and modernity. Jewelry designed for those who love to express themselves through unconventional details, capable of telling a personal story without sacrificing refinement.

THE WORLD OF ÀPINI STUDIO

Behind Àpini Studio lies a story of family, of hands, and of memory.

Giulia Facchini discovered the joy of creating at a very young age. As a child, during summers at the beach, she made small pieces of jewelry for her grandmother Diana and her friends. They were simple pieces, born from the desire to make something with her hands, yet they already embodied what today defines the brand’s identity: attention to detail, affection, spontaneity, and a pursuit of beauty.

After earning her degree in Fashion Design and pursuing a career in the fashion industry, Giulia chose to deepen her passion for jewelry making by training at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana in Milan. From this convergence of fashion, craftsmanship, and personal memory, Àpini Studio was born.

Even the brand’s name holds an emotional connection. Àpini derives from the childhood nickname of Giulia’s mother, “Angi Pini,” and serves as a tribute to her family roots—to those intimate names that belong to private life and, precisely for this reason, carry an authentic power.

Àpini Studio was thus born as a deeply personal project, yet one capable of speaking to everyone. The jewelry is not conceived as distant objects, to be kept only for special occasions, but as everyday companions: precious details to wear at work, during leisure time, and in the ordinary moments of the day.

The hallmark of the brand is an informal elegance, infused with a subtle sense of irony. Simple ingredients, household objects, memories, tableware, pasta, flour, eggs, and fragments of Italian culture become part of a creative narrative that transforms the familiar into something unexpected.

Made in Italy, in small quantities or to order, Àpini jewelry celebrates the unhurried pace of craftsmanship, the uniqueness of each piece, and artisanal expertise. Each creation is designed to preserve an emotion, but also to accompany the wearer over time.

With “Pastài,” Giulia Facchini launches the first chapter of this story: a collection that looks to the roots of Italian culture with tenderness, intelligence, and a contemporary sensibility, transforming everyday memories into jewelry destined to last.
