Another “Symphonic Sunday” at La Nuvola, conducted by Maestro Germano Neri, came to a close just a few hours ago. In addition to his charismatic leadership and musical expertise, he has become a prominent figure in the music scene.
His artistic identity is clear: irony, lightheartedness, and culture make the successful format of the Europa Incanto Orchestra, produced by EUR SpA, a one-of-a-kind listening experience, that changes the perception of the value of music.
The program for the recently concluded Sunday concert, dedicated to exploring a musical journey that guided the audience in discovering the concepts of rhythm and harmony, featured works by composers of the caliber of Liszt, Borodin, De Falla, and Albeniz.
The concert treated the devoted audience that packed the red seats of the EUR Congress Center to the beauty of a journey through unforgettable melodies. From the technical acrobatics of Liszt’s Second Rhapsody—a play of light and shadow on the piano—the program moved through Borodin’s boundless steppes, where the Polovtsian Dances painted scenes of a dreamlike Orient.
The energy shifts again in De Falla’s hypnotic ritual: his Danza del Fuego vibrates with a typically Iberian electricity, the same we find in the orchestral version of Asturias. Here, Albéniz transforms the ideal guitar into an orchestra of dark, visceral tones. A sweeping musical journey, where great European traditions, blending with the fiery spirit of the Mediterranean, have made for a unique listening experience.
All the greatest composers of the symphonic world over the past 250 years have made the “Symphonic Sundays” unique and unforgettable.
