An extraordinary event organized by the association Ristoworld Italy, whose patron is Chef Leonardo Massaro.
In Lillo Maida’s almond grove, #Giusdam in Ravanusa, in the province of Agrigento, the boys and girls from the Manzoni Institute watched the preparation of the traditional almond dessert, nougat, which they were able to taste along with cubaita made on the spot by the master pastry chefs participating in the initiative.
For the young students, it was a day to remember, featuring the engaging CUNTI (stories) by Anna Martano and a tasting of the nougat made by master pastry chefs Lillo Defraia, Calogero La Mattina, Giovanni Mangione, Alessandro Russo, Carolina Faro, and Vincenzo La Cognata, chef and director of Himera Movie APS.
The master pastry chefs’ willingness to participate made this unique experiential event possible, thanks to the venue and the confectionery tradition.
Patron Massaro thanked journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the online publication ‘Qui Licata’, Angelo Augusto, for the interviews and the dedicated report in the news program of the same name.
