Vinchio Vaglio: the value of time, the power of consistency, the recognition of quality
Some argue that guides and ratings have lost their significance.
Vinchio Vaglio, however, continues to believe in their deeper meaning: not merely as a measure, but as a testament to a journey.
Because an award can be a one-off event.
But when accolades follow one after another, year after year, in Italy and abroad, then it is no longer a matter of luck. It is the tangible sign of a vision, of constant work, of quality built over time.
“We are women and men; we are winemakers, technicians, salespeople, warehouse workers, and office staff; we are from Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, natives of Monferrato and Piedmont by birth or by choice. We are the heart of the Vinchio Vaglio Cooperative.” This is how they introduce themselves.
It is this consistency that makes Vinchio Vaglio one of the most highly regarded wineries among national and international wine critics.
A reputation that grows with each harvest and is further confirmed today by the invitation to “Simply the Best”, the event organized by Civiltà del Bere dedicated to Italy’s most influential wineries—leaders par excellence in their respective regions.
On Monday, March 30, in the evocative setting of the Sala Cavallerizze at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Vinchio Vaglio will host a tasting of some of its most award-winning wines. Wines that tell a story of land, time, and identity:
- “Vigne Vecchie 50” Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2023
- “Laudana” Nizza DOCG 2022
- “Vigne Vecchie” Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG 2021
- “Insynthesis” Nizza Riserva DOCG 2019
Each label is the result of a deliberate choice: to showcase Barbera in all its nuances. An extraordinarily versatile grape variety, capable of producing fresh, approachable wines as well as deeper, more age-worthy expressions that have been refined over time.
The common thread remains the same: balance.
A balance that stems from Barbera’s natural acidity, which sustains its vitality, and from its innate elegance, characterized by softness and harmony—never excessive, always authentic.
Even in its most accessible wines, Vinchio Vaglio demonstrates that quality and pleasure can coexist, offering value for money that international critics continue to recognize and reward.
Because, in the end, it’s not just about scores.
It’s about consistency, identity, and trust built over time.
And when all of this is recognized, it’s no coincidence. It’s a story that speaks for itself.
