The return of an icon, in the heart of Cortina
Overlooking the historic Via della Stazione, a few steps from the Faloria cable car and the elegance of Corso Italia, the Grand Hotel Ampezzo has been reinterpreted while respecting its original architectural identity: the cream and sky blue façade, the structural elements typical of post-war hôtellerie, and the harmony of classical proportions.
The interiors, designed by Zuretti Design, reveal an aesthetic research that combines French grace with the most refined Italian craftsmanship. A measured balance between natural materials—marble, wood, noble fabrics—and a contemporary design made up of sartorial details, luminous perspectives, and a sense of tailor-made comfort.

From the moment you enter, the Grand Hotel Ampezzo welcomes you with a memorable lobby: marble inlaid floors, authentic wood paneling, crystal chandeliers, and a sculptural bronze tree that has become the symbol of the hotel.
The lounge, with its Breccia Sarda marble fireplace, invites relaxed conversation; the Ampezzino Café bar captivates with a backlit white crystal marble counter, like a luminous iceberg in the heart of the Dolomites; the Cucina restaurant celebrates the excellence of Italian products in an enveloping environment of natural wood, mirrors, and a precious Murano chandelier that dominates the refined “Sala degli Specchi” (Hall of Mirrors).
70 rooms and suites: the new definition of quiet luxury
The 70 rooms—including 26 suites—are designed as sensory retreats. Walnut wood, Botticino marble, soft velvets, and black brass fittings create environments that speak an international language without sacrificing their Alpine character.
