Introducing “FORMA” – The new creative division of OOO – Out of Order®

OOO FORMA SETTANTA 1

OOO – Out of Order®, a renowned brand in contemporary watchmaking, presents FORMA, its new creative division that marks a significant evolution for the brand.

FORMA was born from the desire to transform the passion for vintage, which has always been part of OOO’s identity, into innovation through original geometries, advanced construction solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and premium movements designed to stand the test of time. The case becomes a central expressive element, free to give shape to unique lines that take us on a journey through tradition, aesthetics, and research.

FORMA: a project inspired by the decades Stylistically, it ties in with the decades that have marked the history of design and watchmaking, reinterpreting their essence with a contemporary eye. Each collection is a tribute to an era, its aesthetics, and its ability to inspire new forms of expression. The first decade comes to life with SETTANTA, a tribute to the 1970s, a period of great experimentation in which watchmaking dared to use new geometries, materials, and volumes, redefining the aesthetic canons of the time.

The FORMA logo: simplicity and recognizability

The FORMA logo is the result of a combination of simplicity and identity, summarizing the spirit of the new creative division: a balance between form and substance, memory and experimentation. The three “O”s of OOO – Out of Order® become a pure, linear, and immediately recognizable graphic symbol. Below the symbol, the word FORMA, in a typeface with light serifs and balanced proportions, conveys solidity and elegance, harmonizing with the “O”s. The contrast between pure geometry and classic lettering creates a balanced visual tension, a distinctive expression of the brand’s philosophy.

SETTANTA: the first FORMA model

SETTANTA draws inspiration from the eclectic creativity of the 1970s, an era of stylistic exploration in which watch cases broke free from the traditional round shape, embracing square, tonneau, and cushion lines, with rounded corners and proportions designed to improve comfort and identity. Today, FORMA reinterprets that spirit with a contemporary language, where classic and modern dialogue in every curve and detail. Marine bronze: a living material The choice of marine bronze for the case, dial, and buckle is no accident. It is a living material that evolves over time, acquiring a unique and personal patina, transforming each watch into a one-of-a-kind piece. The bronze finish on the dial adds depth and character to the design, making SETTANTA an example of balance between heritage and modernity.

The idea for FORMA came from our ongoing research and desire to explore new geometries and materials. With SETTANTA, we want to offer a watch that represents the evolution of our brand while remaining true to our passion for vintage and the quality that sets us apart.” — Claudio Della Mora and Riccardo Torrisi, co-founders of OOO – Out of Order®.
