ONIWINES: WINE TOURISM AS A MEANS OF LEARNING ABOUT THE TERRITORIES AND THE ITALIAN WINE-GROWING LANDSCAPE. Six wineries, six destinations to experience wine through tours, tastings, and local products

Creating authentic connections between wine, the region, and people. Welcoming visitors not only to the winery, but into a cultural landscape made up of scenery, grape varieties, traditions, customs, and flavors. This is the vision that guides Oniwines in developing wine tourism through its estates: a model of hospitality capable of transforming a tasting into an experience, and that experience into knowledge.

With six estates spread across some of the country’s most iconic wine-growing regions, Oniwines offers a journey from north to south through Italy’s wine country. Each winery becomes a microcosm from whichto observe the identity, climate, history, and culture of the territory where it is located. Guided tours through vineyards and cellarsaccompany guests as they discover the winemaking traditions, the unique environmental characteristics, and the people who make each place distinct from the others. Wine tastings are paired with a selection of typical local products, an expression of the gastronomic culture of these regions.

At some estates, the experience can also be enhanced with in-depth activities dedicated to culinary and wine excellence and, where available, the opportunity to stay amidst the vineyards.

The itinerary takes shape through six wineries, each embodying a specific regional character.

ERT1050, in Trentino-Alto Adige, showcases mountain viticulture and its unique climatic conditions. Tours offer insight into the relationship between people and the Alpine environment through an experience that combines landscape, sustainability, and the Metodo Classico.

La Giuva, in Valpolicella, welcomes visitors to a landscape shaped by history and local winemaking traditions. Surrounded by the vineyards of Val Squaranto, the winery offers tastings that highlight the region’s wines paired with local specialties, showcasing the deep connection between the cultivated slopes, the local culture, and winemaking.

Pico Maccario, in Piedmont, represents one of the most prestigious regions in Italian winemaking. The winery offers an immersive experience in the heart of Monferrato, where the vineyard landscape meets contemporary art and the vineyard itself becomes a visual narrative, thanks to its iconic colorful pencil-shaped posts.

Podere Guardia Grande, in Alghero, Sardinia, offers an experience where the vineyard interacts with its surroundings and the influence of the sea. The Mediterranean scrub accompanies visitors on a journey that combines the estate’s wines with the flavors of Sardinian tradition, striking a balance between nature, identity, and the region.

Tenimenti Leone, just outside Rome, views wine tourism as an opportunity to rediscover a heritage rich in native grape varieties. Tours and tastings, paired with typical products from the Lazio countryside, allow visitors to enjoy an authentic experience of the region. The estate also offers the chance to stay amidst the vineyards.

Villa Bucci, in the Marche region, is a landmark for viticulture deeply rooted in the local culture. The extraordinarily harmonious hilly landscape sets the stage for a story that weaves together family history, the promotion of native grape varieties, and the identity of the Marche region.

Through these establishments, Oniwines builds a network of experiences that promote slow, mindful, and knowledge-oriented tourism—capable of generating new opportunities for local communities and strengthening the bond between consumers and their regions.

From this perspective, wineries are not merely places of production but true centers of wine culture, where the tasting experience is enriched by insights into sustainability, research, the history of the land, and the exploration of the landscape. Oniwines aims to highlight this heritage to contribute to the sector’s growth and the promotion of Italian wine excellence around the world.

Because wine, when it truly springs from a territory, is never merely what is poured into a glass. It is the memory of the land, a narrative of landscapes, and a meeting of hands, seasons, and knowledge. And it is precisely in this silent dialogue between nature, culture, and people that Oniwines recognizes the most authentic value of wine tourism: transforming every visit into an unforgettable experience, and every sip into a new way of discovering Italy.

Oniwines is the wine project launched in 2024 within Oniverse, the group owned by the Veronesi family, an international leader in the fashion and lifestyle sectors.

Led by CEO and owner Federico Veronesi, Oniwines positions itself as a symbol of excellence, with a curated portfolio of wineries capable of expressing the quality, tradition, and identity of Italian territories through native grape varieties and a contemporary vision.

The wineries in the Oniwines portfolio include Tenimenti Leone in Lazio, La Giuva in Veneto, Podere Guardia Grande in Sardinia, Villa Bucci in the Marche, Pico Maccario in Piedmont, and ERT1050 in Trentino-Alto Adige.

The project combines the Veronesi family’s winemaking tradition with an innovative approach focused on highlighting the terroir, sustainability, and quality. The goal is to create an experience that goes beyond simply drinking wine, transforming every bottle into a story of history, culture, and territory.
