Six Senses Rome and La DoubleJ: A Bold Collaboration for Summer at the NOTOS Rooftop

There are places where summer arrives not just with the sun, but with a distinct feeling: that luminous lightness that defines Rome’s most beautiful days, when the sky seems closer, colors become more intense, and every detail invites you to slow down, look around, and breathe.

It is from this idea of beauty experienced—not merely observed—that the collaboration between Six Senses Rome and La DoubleJ was born, a bold and refined partnership that transforms the NOTOS Rooftop into a destination of style, design, and Mediterranean pleasure. Above the rooftops of the capital, amid light, greenery, and suspended vistas, Six Senses’ contemporary hospitality embraces the vibrant, maximalist spirit of La DoubleJ, shaping an experience that celebrates Rome in its sunniest season.

Starting May 20, 2026, two leading names—the contemporary hospitality of Six Senses and the maximalist aesthetic of La DoubleJ—have come together to create an immersive, vibrant, and refined experience, designed to celebrate the joy of experiencing Rome during its brightest season.

NOTOS thus becomes a canvas suspended above the capital’s rooftops, where bold patterns, bright colors, floral fabrics, vibrant cushions, and design objects interact with the greenery, light, and natural materials of the terrace. An environment that preserves the hotel’s wellness spirit while being enriched by the eclectic and joyful character of La DoubleJ.

The star of the collaboration is the Solar Collection, an exclusive selection of tableware and accessories chosen to complement the rooftop’s new culinary concepts: soup and serving bowls featuring geometric and sun-inspired patterns, dessert plates, mini plates, espresso cups, ice cream and dried fruit bowls, as well as handcrafted vases that dot the lounge like small works of art.

Rounding out the experience is the new Mediterranean cuisine concept by Executive Chef Fabio Sangiovanni, who interprets the rooftop as a place of conviviality, flavor, and lightness. The menu draws inspiration from the sea, seasonal ingredients, and local produce, with dishes designed to highlight the simplicity of the ingredients and a selection of small bites to share.

There’s no shortage of locally inspired cocktails and botanical mocktails, perfect for an aperitif at sunset, when NOTOS transforms and gets ready for the evening. As the light fades, live sets and DJs turn the terrace into a sophisticated and vibrant spot, perfect for those who want to experience Rome from above, surrounded by design, music, and atmosphere.

In the heart of the historic center, just steps from the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, Six Senses Rome thus confirms its calling to be much more than a hotel: a place of wellness, beauty, and discovery, capable of reinterpreting urban hospitality through sensory and contemporary experiences.

About Six Senses Rome

Located in the heart of Rome’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Six Senses Rome is the brand’s first urban hotel to open in Italy.

The hotel occupies the 15th-century Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, restored to its former glory to house 96 rooms and suites. It is a green oasis just steps away from iconic landmarks such as the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.

The BIVIUM, a lifestyle space and restaurant on the ground floor, features a restaurant, a bar, and an inner courtyard.

The sun-drenched NOTOS Rooftop Terrace offers panoramic views of the historic district, featuring a cocktail area, restaurant, and event space.

The Six Senses Spa revives the tradition of Roman baths, with five treatment rooms (including one for couples), a hammam, a biohacking room, meditation spaces, an outdoor yoga deck, and a fitness center.

With La DoubleJ, the NOTOS Rooftop becomes the manifesto of a bold, sunny, and deeply aesthetic Italian summer. An invitation to let yourself be enveloped by the light of Rome, the power of color, and that elegant joy that makes every detail part of a story.
