Thai Airways (THAI) is strengthening its role as an ambassador of Thai culture around the world and revamping the in-flight dining experience with a series of initiatives that combine culinary excellence, sustainability, and cultural identity.

Each flight is thus transformed into a true sensory journey, where taste becomes language and food becomes a storytelling tool.

At the heart of this vision is the “Good Taste for a Good Cause” initiative, already appreciated for its collaborations with chefs and artisan producers of excellence—including award-winning Chef Bo Songvisava and iconic brands such as KanVela and DoiTung—which now returns with an even wider selection of offerings.

Some new items are already available on board, while others will be introduced gradually throughout 2026, with the aim of offering passengers an authentic, refined, and responsible experience.

Good Taste for a Good Cause: when taste becomes value

Through “Good Taste for a Good Cause,” THAI celebrates Thai and international gastronomic heritage by collaborating with producers who share the same vision of quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Each product tells a story of tradition, innovation, and respect for local communities, reinforcing Thai Airways’ commitment as Thailand’s cultural soft power in the world.

The main new features on board

After the success of the first edition, “Streets to the Sky” is back, the project that brings the iconic flavors of Thai street food on board, reinterpreted with elegance and quality.

The experience is available to Royal Silk Class passengers who pre-select their meal on flights departing from Bangkok to Europe and Australia.

A gastronomic journey that combines authenticity and haute cuisine, transforming the iconic dishes of the streets of Bangkok into creations designed for high altitude.

Among the highlights of the menu:

  • Thipsamai – Thailand’s most iconic Pad Thai, offered in Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Oil Pad Thai variations
  • Jay Fai – Michelin-starred chef, famous for her stir-fried noodles with seafood and her iconic Sriracha sauce
  • Rod Dee Det – Chicken in sauce with rice, a historic dish from Siam Square
  • XIA Noodle – Duck noodles, a symbol of Thai-Chinese comfort food
  • Krua Jongjit – Hokkien Stir-Fried Noodles, an authentic recipe from southern Thailand
  • Baan Yeesarn – Chu Chee Fish Curry, a home-style dish created by a Michelin-starred chef
Premium Asian Noodles: Asian haute cuisine at high altitude

The initiative expanded the Premium Asian Noodles project, designed to bring the excellence of Thai cuisine on board.

From October 1, 2025, the menu will feature culturally significant recipes revisited with premium ingredients such as abalone, jumbo crab meat, tender pork belly, and sous-vide cooked short ribs, for an authentic and refined experience.

The service is available exclusively in Royal Silk Class, through meal pre-selection, on flights from Bangkok to Europe and Australia.
