Villa Ermellina represents the official debut of 753 Hospitality Group, a Milan-based company dedicated to the redevelopment of high-end hotel assets. Supported by Alchemy Partners, the group sees Italy as fertile ground for conscious, elegant hospitality rooted in the territory.
The resort is the result of the transformation of the former Hotel Garden, a historic Sienese address dating back to 1964, now completely redesigned in a contemporary style.
The name is a tribute to Marchesa Ermellina Bargagli Stoffi, a cultured and cosmopolitan noblewoman of the 19th century, a great promoter of the city and the Tuscan landscape. Her curious spirit and passion for beauty became the narrative key to the project, a bridge between past and future.
By joining the Tribute Portfolio collection of Marriott International, Villa Ermellina brings a new concept of luxury urban resort to Siena: a place where design meets tradition and hospitality becomes a cultural experience.
Contemporary design and Tuscan soul
The architectural and interior design is by London-based studio Goddard Littlefair, which has restored the villa to its original elegance, reinterpreting it with a contemporary style.
Natural materials, warm lighting, and shades inspired by the Sienese countryside create a sophisticated yet welcoming aesthetic, designed to blend in with the landscape.
The 117 rooms—67 of which are already operational—combine comfort and a sense of place, thanks to a carefully studied color palette, custom-made furnishings, and soft lighting that invites calm. Each room is designed as an intimate retreat, where modernity meets the heritage of the historic villa.
The full opening, with a spa, tennis court, and additional rooms, is scheduled for January 2026, thus completing the resort experience.
